Grooves in the Hill Country of Texas - Wimberley Style

Twenty things from the top of my head to Wimberley, unlike elsewhere in Texas.

1) Río Blanco winds through the city and its surroundings. swimming, kayaking and exit recommended.If have to spend a weekend B and AB can be found on the river and enjoy.

2) the hills surrounding the valley Wimberley, offering stunning views from above and below.

3) the Corral Theater is an outdoor walk-in cinema. as the old drive, but youin the old rockers, under the stars. nothing better on a summer night.it decades.Bring already has a cold bottle of wine when you like.You know when it's time for the film, always in the twilight.

4) market days, the second largest open market in Texas with more than 400 suppliers. First Saturday of the month of March there December.You 'has never had so many things about trash to create art and crafts. Come early if you are a serious looker.Seriously this is very funny. I rarely miss one.

5) Jacobs Well- Where Cypress Creek origin. eight divers over the years have fallen and never return. favorite place for local children to swim for years. refreshing.Discovered cold and Wimberley in 1850 by settlers, but the Comanche knew long before.

6) Susanna's Kitchen - located in a church where the locals like Alejandro Escovedo, Willis Alan Ramsey and Ray Wylie Hubbard bless us in small, intimate concerts since they do not Letterman or Leno show. Smoking and alcohol FriEnjoy tamales, cake and coffee.

7) Blue Hole - nice pool at Cypress Creek with huge cypress trees along the shore. Great place for picnics and swing from ropes in the cool, clear water.

8) Shakespeare under the stars - the only program of Shakespeare acredited high school in America, children from around the state to participate in everything from costume construction and acting course. July 27 to August 9 at the Terrace Theater Emilyann

9)Bald Mt - 219 steps above him. Stunning views of the Wimberley Valley and beyond. Catch a sunset. Bring water and running shoes, and of course the camera.

10) Wimberley Square - Many unique items.Check the Blue Willow and drink a beer Inoz. It 'hard to survive in this city, if you do not know unique.I .. All tourist towns have a square, but hey, people who live in a tourist town?

11) Wimberley Pie Company - Man oh man you've never seen so many cakes. In fourteenFor years I've sampled most of them. Try the cherry tree, but then choose your favorite, they are all delicious.

12) Cypress Creek - When you cross the bridge on the square .. which is Cypress Creek. Absolutely beautiful. Probably the most photographed place Wimberley.

13) Gourmet Tamale Kitchen - Without a doubt the healthiest, most delicious tamales I've ever eaten. I once saw a woman in Ohio Fill a cooler to send home.

14) Wimberley Pie Social - During the month of April.vieing pie serious competition with the local population to the blue ribbon. It is a city atmosphere without the hoot. Great big crowd.

15) Wimberley Brewing Company - Established in February 2009 by former San Francisco 49erand longtime Wimberly Bruce Collie. They make their purity and meet (the German beer purity laws for beer). If you like a beer must cease.

16) Butterfly Day - third Saturday in April. Looking at the release of hundreds of butterflies that live helptheir new home in Wimberley. A lot of fun for children, such as face painting, games, entertainers, and you should see the joy on their faces. This is truly a unique event.Bring their children or grandchildren.

17) Wimberley Glass Works - we talk about some beautiful works of art. They have events throughout the day, where you can watch glass blowing. very cool.

18) Spring - Like wildflowers, Bluebonnets, Texas Paintbrush, Indian Blanket, Green wire, glass of wine and so on. ComeWimberley is beautiful in spring.

19) Austin - Oh yes, Wimberley is so close to my favorite city. forty minutes on a country road and you look at the Longhorns play ball, eat at a restaurant or enjoy a great concert. you better hill country town right next to the famous city.

20) Salt Lick BBQ - OK, so technically it Driftwood but you're only 10 minutes from some of the best barbecue in America.

1921) in November toMarch - sixty-something degrees and the sun is usually shining. The climate is better than anywhere else in this time of year. What remains to be said.
