How to make homemade meals for Thanksgiving Cornbread

During autumn, enjoy our friends and family with a big Thanksgiving dinner. We spend 30 hours cooking and a feast for our family.

One of the things we enjoy is cooking some homemade cornbreads. To match the theme of my Thanksgiving meal, I use a cast iron pan bread wheat and maize has cavities in the shape of little ears. You can choose this kind of dish at your local kitchen store or discountDepartment store for about $ 15.00.

Recipe cornbread

1 egg
1 / 2 cup cold milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup cornmeal
1 / 2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 tablespoons granulated sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Lightly moisten your cast iron pan of corn bread with cooking spray and let dry for 1 minute.

In a medium bowl, combine egg with cold milk and vegetable oil until well combined. In alarge and medium bowl, mix oats, flour, baking powder and caster sugar. Slowly stir the egg mixture into the flour mixture until all ingredients are well blended and wet. I wish my hand stirring with a silicone spatula so the batter does not stick to my spoon.

Spoon batter into lightly greased baking your own, filling the cavity of 90% vol. (Leave a small space for expansion.) Bake in preheated oven 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or untilbe done. The leaves should be light golden brown.

Remove from oven and leave in pan. Place the pan on a wire rack and remove from the pan.

Serving suggestions: Serve with what we want our honey or apple butter.
